I am Shannon and I am a friend, ally, and caregiver to dogs.
I am a long-time Lower Haight resident who has lived in the same Waller and Fillmore apartment since 1992. I am well known in the neighborhood for my love and guardianship of the beloved beasts. My keen sense of dog behavior and deep-rooted love for them align with a persistent insistence on good behavior to create a safe and positive experience for all the animals in my care.
I restrict my service area to the Waller Street corridor between Laguna and Scott streets and Page Street and Duboce Avenue.
Working within my immediate neighborhood and keeping the pack size small I am able to offer accommodating schedules and relaxed experiences for families and dogs.
Benefits of hyperlocal:
The pack’s all day outings begin at McLaren Park with vigorous hiking along the park’s many paths. We meet other dogs, swim in the lake, and practice being good dog citizens with appropriate expressions of excitement and enthusiasm.
A little before noon we pile back into the truck and head to Fort Funston. We spend the first part of our time there hiking the undulating dunes and sniffing for critters among the thick brush and grass. Then at Thornton State Park we descend to the beach and chase balls in the surf.
We usually cover about seven miles a day of vigorous hiking among rough trails. Dogs return home with their energy and senses fully worked, and having learned a bit more about being a good dog citizen.
$45 per day.
Pick-up: 9:00 - 10:00
Drop-off: 3:00 - 3:30
I limit my scheduled walks to five dogs. This small size allows me to give all the dogs individualized attention and keeps the energy of the pack civilized.
